Job Description

The Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty to support the Davis College's Environmental, Energy, and Land Management Program in the 2026 fall semester. Available courses include ENLM 200 (Principles of Land Management; Tuesdays & Thursdays 12:30-1:45pm) and ENLM 220 (Energy Production and Operations; Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:30-4:45pm).

The College's mission is rooted in the land-grant tradition-preparing students for impactful careers, advancing knowledge through research and innovation, and serving the people of West Virginia and beyond. The Environmental, Energy and Land Management program trains students in the areas of land management, energy, business, law, policy, GIS, and environmental science.

  • A graduate degree relevant to the course(s) taught is required at the time of appointment; a doctoral degree is preferred. Significant work experience and professional certifications may be substituted for a graduate degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and teach undergraduate and/or graduate students.
  • Experience with student-centered instruction, inclusive pedagogy, and/or experiential learning approaches is desirable.
  • Professional experience in applied settings relevant to the course(s) taught is preferred.
