Job Description

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services is a values-driven ABA organization expanding thoughtfully to meet growing community needs. As we continue our steady growth, we are launching and expanding our pediatrics program and are seeking an experienced Part-Time BCBA to help lead this development from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking clinician who wants more than a traditional caseload role — someone energized by building systems, shaping clinical direction, and creating meaningful impact.

This position has strong potential to transition into a Full-Time Leadership role based on program growth and performance.

Why This Role Is Different

✔ Opportunity to help build and shape a new pediatrics program✔ High level of clinical autonomy and leadership influence✔ Flexible, hybrid schedule based on clinical best practices✔ Hours determined collaboratively — designed to support quality care and work–life balance✔ Direct collaboration with senior leadership✔ Clear pathway toward full-time leadership as the program scales

Our growth is intentional and sustainable — focused on quality clinical systems rather than rapid expansion without infrastructure.

Position Overview

The Part-Time BCBA will provide clinical services while playing a key role in the development, expansion, and leadership of Liberty’s pediatrics program. This role combines direct clinical oversight with program-building responsibilities and offers the opportunity to help shape clinical practices, team culture, and service delivery models.

The ideal candidate is a go-getter — someone who thrives in building environments, takes initiative, and enjoys turning vision into clinical reality.

Core Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Program Development

  • Lead the clinical expansion of the pediatric ABA program
  • Support development of treatment models, systems, and workflows
  • Establish high-quality, ethical, and sustainable clinical practices
  • Contribute to program growth strategies and service design
  • Help shape clinical culture and standards from inception

Clinical Services & Oversight

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and skills assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to behavior technicians (RBTs/BTs)
  • Monitor treatment fidelity and client outcomes
  • Modify programming based on data and clinical judgment

Collaboration & Operational Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Clinical Director on program development
  • Support training and onboarding of clinical staff
  • Participate in oversight of operational tasks related to clinical service delivery
  • Assist with implementation of systems that support sustainable program growth.

Caregiver & Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Provide caregiver training and clinical guidance
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers and funding sources
  • Support client-centered, inclusive treatment planning

Schedule & Flexibility

  • This role offers a flexible, hybrid schedule based on clinical needs and best practices.
  • Service delivery may include a combination of in-person field work, telehealth, and administrative planning time.
  • Hours are flexible and designed collaboratively to support both clinical excellence and work–life balance.

Growth Opportunity

Liberty is growing steadily and intentionally. As the pediatrics program expands, this role is designed to evolve into a Full-Time Leadership Position based on performance, program growth, and organizational needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for a BCBA looking to step into leadership while still maintaining clinical connection.

Requirements

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing
  • Active eligibility to practice in California
  • Strong experience in pediatric ABA services
  • Experience with program development, mentorship, or clinical leadership preferred
  • Knowledge of Regional Center and/or insurance-based ABA funding models preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.

Our Clinical Philosophy

We believe exceptional clinical work comes from empowered clinicians. Liberty is committed to building programs that promote dignity, inclusion, and meaningful outcomes for the individuals and families we serve.
