Job Description

Community Resource Network of Floridais looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable andis committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

We’re seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic caregiver to provide support to an 18-year-old young man. He requires assistance with his day-to-day routine and planning, and on occasional outings within the community. Engage with him in fun activities like music and gaming, creating a positive and enjoyable environment.

This is an independent contract position and pays $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Mon, Wed and Fri from 3pm- 7pm and Tues and Thurs from 3pm - 9pm. Occasional Sat or Sun as needed.

You will be a good fit for this position if you:

  • Demonstrate patience and compassion

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

  • Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
  • Supporting with personal hygiene
  • Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance
  • Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment 
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks 
  • Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
  • Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization 
  • Complete daily progress notes 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
  • Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Are 18 years of age or older
