Part-Time CDL Class A Driver (Excavation Company)

Part Time / On Call

We are seeking hardworking, responsible, self-motivated professionals to help us complete our existing projects on time and on budget. We are a small, close-knit, family run company which has been working on Maui since the 70's. We mostly work in the central valley but have projects all over the island, including Hana.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hardworking and dependable.
  • CDL Class A License
  • Honest, with a positive attitude.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to follow directions and meet project goals.
  • Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs. (with assistance).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Drug-free, with the ability to pass random drug tests.
  • Punctual, arrives at work on time, ready to work.

CDL Class A Driver Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent CDL Class A driving experience.
  • Driving Record: Clean driving abstract within the past 3 years.
  • Certification: Valid CDL & license and current medical card.
  • Availability: Flexible to work weekends.

Local Knowledge:

Familiarity with driving on Maui; experience driving to Hana is a plus.

Equipment Skills:

  • Proficient in loading, securing, and hauling heavy machinery on a trailer.
  • Experienced in hauling aggregate with a semi and end dump trailer.
  • Ability to load trucks using loaders or excavators.

Compensation:

  • $35 - $55 an hour
  • Part Time / On Call up to 20 hours
  • Additional hours are available for help with other roles
  • Opportunities to grow with the company.
