Part Time Custodian

COFFEE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM Job Description Custodian  Responsible to: PrincipalHead CustodianQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDExhibits appropriate communication skills

Meets necessary health and physical requirements in order to fulfill the physical demands Essential Responsibilities:Maintains all buildings and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areasneat and clean at all times

Assists in maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and fuel on hand

Regulates heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide temperaturesappropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, andelectricity

Follows proper safety procedures to maintain the security of the building and grounds Performs minor building repairs

Reports major repair needs promptly

Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trashand waste

Knows and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the job ofcustodian

Participates in required annual safety training

Works in conjunction with district maintenance personnel to maintain building needs

Demonstrates positive customer service skills
