TruBlue of North Central Nassau is a licensed, insured home services company specializing in handyman repairs, home maintenance, aging-in-place modifications, accessibility improvements, and property preservation services. We serve homeowners, seniors, families, property managers, healthcare organizations, and commercial clients throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

IMPORTANT

Applicants must have their own tools, a valid driver's license, and a reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools and materials to customer locations throughout Nassau and/or Suffolk Counties.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and customer-focused Handyman / Home Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an experienced handyman, carpenter, maintenance technician, or tradesperson looking for flexible part-time work with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the company expands.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman repairs and home maintenance services

• Install grab bars, handrails, and accessibility modifications

• Complete drywall, painting, carpentry, trim, and repair work

• Assemble furniture, gazebos, sheds, and equipment

• Install doors, locks, hardware, shelving, and fixtures

• Perform home safety modifications for older adults

• Document completed work with photos (Before and after pictures)

• Communicate professionally with clients and office staff

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Represent TruBlue professionally at all times

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, construction, maintenance, carpentry, or related experience

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills

• Must possess and maintain a complete set of hand and power tools necessary to perform handyman services

• Must have a reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools and materials to job sites

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders when needed

• Strong communication and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aging-in-place or accessibility modifications

• Experience working directly with homeowners

• Residential maintenance or property management experience

• OSHA certification (preferred but not required)

Compensation & Benefits

• $25+ per hour based on experience
