WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION

The part-time Law School Researcher (post-graduate) is a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual who supports the exploration of legal theories and their practical applications in contemporary legal systems. This role involves conducting in-depth legal research, analyzing legislation and case law, and contributing to academic publications, policy papers, and legal reform initiatives.

What you'll do in this position:

  • Conduct thorough research on a wide range of legal theories

  • Analyze and synthesize legal materials such as statutes, case law, scholarly articles, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Draft research briefs, literature reviews, and academic papers for publication or presentation.

  • Assist in the development of policy recommendations based on legal theory and empirical analysis.

  • Collaborate with academic staff, legal practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams on research projects.

  • Stay updated on current developments in legal scholarship and relevant case law or legislation.

  • Present findings at internal meetings, academic conferences, or policy forums.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required:

  • JD, LLM, or equivalent degree (coursework should be complete by start date)

  • Passion for academic inquiry and legal reform.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to rigorous scholarship.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Intellectual flexibility and openness to exploring diverse theoretical perspectives.

Pay Range: $20 per hour
