The Intensive Language Institute (ILI) at the University of Miami is seeking to augment and diversity its pool of part time lecturers for part time teaching on an as-needed basis. The ILI is particularly interested in interactive and motivated English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese language instructors who are comfortable working in a diverse environment on a flexible schedule.

Selected candidates will follow curriculum provided by the department and/or develop appropriate materials, exercises, and tests for assigned classes; demonstrate the ability to adapt to new techniques and situations required by the teaching assignment; demonstrate knowledge of instructional technology applied to classroom language pedagogy; attend all required meetings; assess students' performance; meet responsibilities and deadlines for recording progress reports and grades, provide evaluations, recommendations and any other input requested regarding student performance.

Qualifications and experience include: Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2-3 years of teaching experience in the target language.
