Job Description

Job PurposeThe Patient Coordinator I at the RightCare Clinic is responsible for professionally welcoming all patients upon arrival to the interdisciplinary outpatient office. This role manages all front desk administrative responsibilities in collaboration with clinical staff and office personnel, including, but not limited to, patient registration, processing prior authorizations, recording insurance details, handling referrals, collecting co-payments, managing phone communications.  This opening is for the 1:30pm - 8:30pm shift on 3 - 4 days per week.Potential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists patients during the intake process.
  • Gathering patient information forms.
  • Coordination with clinical staff to ensure accurate paperwork completion.
  • Verifying patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Confirming referrals and ensuring prior authorizations are in order.
  • Processing any patient payments at time of service.
  • Handling phone calls to and from patients and other medical providers/facilities to coordinate appointments for patients.
  • Assists with scheduling of patient appointments, including coordinating follow up and referrals
  • Collects and maintains accurate patient records and complies wilt regulatory requirements and corporate policies regarding protected health information.
  • Completes patient checkout process.
  • Maintains a neat and clean medical office environment for employees and waiting area for patients.
  • Provides excellent customer service skills and maintains high quality interaction with patients
  • Performs other duties to support clinic operations as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Prefer 1-2 years of experience with customer service skills, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Knowledge of reading, writing, mathematical and computer skills as normally acquired through completion of high school.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Suite with typing skills of 30 wpm.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
