Part-Time Inpatient Pharmacist 24hrs per Week | Newton, KS Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Newton, Kansas to hire a Part-Time Inpatient Pharmacist. - Part-time schedule within a hospital/inpatient setting*
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness*
- Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications*
- Provide clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams*
- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations*
- Participate in medication therapy management and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives*
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians*
- Ensure compliance with Kansas Board of Pharmacy and Joint Commission standards*
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record (EMR) documentation*
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active Kansas Pharmacist License in good standing*
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience*
- Completion of PGY-1 residency (preferred but not required)*
- Strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice skills*
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities*
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems and automated dispensing technology
