Position: School PsychologistLocation: Mesa, ArizonaContract Length: 36 weeksWeekly Compensation: Up to $65/Hr, based on experience
Job Description: As a School Psychologist, you will work closely with students, teachers, and families to assess, support, and enhance the social, emotional, and academic development of students. You will provide psychological assessments, interventions, and counseling services to help students manage behavioral and emotional challenges, ensuring a positive and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.*
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues.*
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.*
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).*
- Provide consultation to educators and families on strategies for managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive school engagement.*
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights on student progress and necessary accommodations.*
- Offer crisis intervention and support in emergency situations as needed.*
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as required.*
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in school psychology.
Education+ Certification Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.*
- Valid Arizona State Certification or License as a School Psychologist.*
- Experience in educational settings, particularly working with diverse student populations, is preferred.*
- Knowledge of child development, learning processes, and behavioral management techniques.*
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.*
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and with diverse groups of students and staff.
