Job Description
Morrison Industrial Equipment is currently looking for a Parts and Inventory Specialist at our Central Parts Distribution Warehouse located in Grand Rapids, MI. Family-owned and family-oriented, we are a well-established Material Handling Equipment Company based out of Grand Rapids MI with 12 locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. We diligently work to refine our customer experience, striving to source parts that provide our customers with the perfect balance of quality and value. Then utilizing our inventory management and logistics systems, we ensure optimized availability and timely delivery of these carefully selected parts.Position requires working in person, first shift, Monday-Friday, 40 hours each week. Compensation negotiated based on experience, ranging from 40k-44K annually. Job responsibilities to include:
- Perform parts look-up and identification to support customer needs
- Process order entry accurately and efficiently within system guidelines
- Manage purchasing activities, including supplier communication, order placement, and follow-up
- Execute stock ordering strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Coordinate and process branch vendor returns, ensuring proper documentation and system updates
- Perform quality control for branches, ensuring accuracy of parts, processes, and system data
- Provide database and system support for users, including part record maintenance, troubleshooting, and data accuracy
- Handle parts receiving, including verification, system entry, and stocking
- Coordinate shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate outbound orders
- Maintain clear, professional communication with vendors regarding orders, returns, and issue resolution
- Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and data integrity
- Contribute to process improvements and system-wide efficiencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
