Job Description
Hugg and Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with attention to detail, a customer service focus, and strong organizational skills to join our team as a Parts Associate in our warehouse. Celebrating 70 years in business, we are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Parts Assistant's primary responsibilities are to accurately and efficiently complete parts orders, returns, back orders, and manage warehouse inventory with minimal supervision
In this role, you will:
- Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers regarding orders, parts availability, and general status updates - providing an excellent customer service experience
- Coordinate and manage timelines related to the pickup, delivery, and will call of parts inventory.
- Ensure all warehouse parts inventory is organized and stored in the correct location, while conducting regular bin checks and cycle counts
- Maintain accurate records through correct coding, receiving, and billing of parts into internal software
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional and safe warehouse environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a parts inventory role, specific to a warehouse environment
- Knowledge or background in the construction equipment industry a huge plus
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Above average computer skills
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Ability to be forklift certified
- High School diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- This position will be working indoors and outdoors in the movement of parts freight. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. This position may be required to drive to various customer/vendor locations. Normal auto hazards will apply.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 40 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, twisting, and climbing.
- Position requires bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting handling/fingering and outward reaching on a daily basis.
- Position requires frequent use of various types of material handling equipment.
- Position requires occasional use of ladders.
- Position may require driving truck to and from customer locations.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
- Must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
