Description
Hill International Trucks, the Tri-State areas largest medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer dealership, is currently looking for a full-time Parts Clerk for the Marietta, OH. location.
Parts Clerks are responsible for the end-to-end processing of customer or vendors orders, acting as the critical link between sales, inventory and fulfillment. Their primary goal is to ensure that data is entered into company systems with high speed and near perfect accuracy to prevent shipping delays or billing errors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and issue sales floor merchandise, materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard to fill shelves, racks, tables, or customers' orders.
- Maintain accurate records of parts replaced, inventory, and parts on order
- Process customer orders and recommend additional related repair items
- Manage parts inventory and reorder parts as needed
- Inspect delivered parts and compare them with invoices to ensure correctness of order
- Work with parts suppliers to get quotes and place orders
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the parts storage area
- Coordinate with shipping companies to manage deliveries and returns
- Perform data entry and administrative duties such as filing and managing paperwork
- Order parts as per the requirements of the organization
- Record and track the movement of parts
- Ensure accurate documentation of all transactions
- Financial Processing:
- Assist the accounting team by generating invoices, processing credit card payments, and handling returns/RMA (return merchandise authorizations)
- Conduct regular inventory audits
- Identify and address any discrepancies in the inventory
- Organize the parts storage area for ease of access
HOURS & PAY:
- Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm w/ 1-hour lunch
- Salary range $30k-$45k, based on exp.

- Requires accurate, knowledgeable detailed work.
- Frequent telephone use and professional phone etiquette.
- Must be able to communicate and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Parts Clerk or similar role
- Problem solving skills:
- Troubleshoot issues, like "stuck" orders in the system, shipping address errors and lost packages.
- Valid driver's license.
- Punctual, reliable and excellent work ethic and service standards.
- Reliable transportation.
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
- Ability to use parts department computer system, calculator.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and background check.
- Basic understanding of supply chain procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
