Job Description

Pathologist Assistant (NE) (Contract) – Arizona 85197

Position: Pathologist Assistant (NE) (13 week Contract with option to extend)
Location: Arizona, 85197 (MUST LIVE OUTSIDE OF ARIZONA)
Pay: $3300/per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Shifts: Staggered shifts coordinated by department
Weekends: Not required

Key Responsibilities:

Assist pathologists with gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens
Prepare and document specimens for histologic processing
Ensure accurate labeling, recording, and handling of specimens
Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards
Collaborate with pathology and laboratory staff for efficient workflow

Requirements:

Certification as a Pathologist Assistant (PA ASCP preferred)
Relevant pathology/laboratory experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
