Description of Work Assignment:
- Selected provider will deliver Clinical Pathology services with a focus in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking
Anticipated Procedures / Volumes:
- Proficiency required in transfusion medicine and blood banking
2025 Annual Volume:
- 30,000 blood bank units released
- 200 transfusion reactions managed
- 7,600 blood products collected and processed
- 123 blood drives overseen
- 5,200 phlebotomy procedures
Apheresis Service Volume:
- 500 plasmapheresis procedures
- 180 photopheresis procedures
- 230 stem cell collections
- 90 CAR-T products processed
Breakdown of Coverage:
- Monday Friday onsite coverage
- Night and weekend call responsibilities
Schedule of Days / Times Needed to Work / Shift Hours:
- Monday Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm (onsite daily coverage)
On Call:
- Yes nights and weekends
Patient Load:
- Variable daily case volume
Board Status Requirement (BC/BE):
- Board Certified in Transfusion Medicine (required)
