Job Description

Minimum Education Required: High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience Required: Basic knowledge of multi-line consoles, base radios and communication equipment. Basic knowledge of revenue cycle process. Basic working knowledge of automated scheduling, registration, collections and telecommunications applications. Working knowledge of computers, software and hardware, Microsoft word, and Excel.

Licensure/Certification Required: N/A

Skills required (if applicable): Must possess the technical ability to operate multi-line telephone consoles, printers, fax machines, eligibility software and general office equipment. Must have basic knowledge of base radio/emergency communications and multi-system alarm panels. Must possess good mental and physical health as well as hearing and visual acuity. The operator must be able to prioritize, multitask, problem solve and maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations. Utilizes appropriate resources. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills at all times to effectively and professionally represent Indiana Regional Medical Center.
