What You'll Do
  • Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on Patient Care Technician (PCT) training.*
  • Teach core patient care concepts, including vital signs, patient safety, infection control, basic nursing skills, professional communication, and other essential clinical competencies.*
  • Prepare students with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for industry-recognized certifications and entry-level patient care careers.*
  • Utilize the provided curriculum while maintaining student records and basic classroom documentation.*
  • Mentor and encourage students by sharing real-world experiences, best practices, and professional expectations from today's healthcare environment.
What You BringWe're excited to hear from healthcare professionals with backgrounds such as:
  • Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A, NCPCT, or equivalent)*
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)*
  • Registered Nurse (RN)*
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)*
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)*
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)*
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)*
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)*
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy (CPT, PBT, RPT, NCPT), EKG Technician (CET, CET-NHA, CCT), or other nationally recognized patient care credentials are highly valued. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent patient care experience OR at least 1 year of experience teaching Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assisting, or related healthcare courses.
  • Current healthcare certification or licensure appropriate to your clinical background (such as RN, LVN/LPN, CNA, CPCT/A, NCPCT, CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NCMA).*
  • Current BLS certification preferred.*
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.*
  • Teaching, mentoring, coaching, precepting, or training experience is preferred but not required.*
  • Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening.
Location & ScheduleLocation: Texarkana, TX 75503Program: Patient Care Technician (PCT)Commitment: First Semester (August 2026 – December 2026)Days: Monday – FridayTime: Flexible based on instructor availabilityTypical Class Length: 1.5 hoursMost instructional commitments average approximately 3 hours per class session, including preparation and classroom responsibilities.   • $85–$93 per instructional session (based on experience and certifications)*
