Position Highlights

Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Join our team of Emergency Services staff!

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients to care
  • Complete patient registration process
  • Coordinate unit communications
  • Promote atmosphere of calmness and professionalism
  • Tasks as directed by Emergency Room staff

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Caring attitude and team player
  • Ability to multi task
  • Handle stressful situations
  • HS Diploma or equivalent; computer skills; medical experience preferred

Schedule:

  • Full time - 72 hours a pay period
  • 12 hour day shift: 5:30a-6p
  • Holiday rotation
  • Scheduled 2 weekends in a 6 week block
  • Schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
