Job Description:

Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure their safety and prevent self-harm or injury.

  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding the patient's condition, behavior, and any concerns.

  • Assist patients with non-clinical needs, such as companionship, emotional support, and basic comfort measures.

  • Follow hospital or facility protocols to maintain a safe environment for the patient.

  • Notify nursing staff immediately of any changes in the patient's condition or behavior.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

  • Document observations and interactions as required by facility policies.

  • Support the healthcare team by fostering a calm and positive environment for the patient.

This position is a casual position.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Previous experience in caring for patients or equivalent experience in a similar setting preferred, or the ability to demonstrate achievement of unit specific competencies.
