Job Description

A financial services organization is seeking a Compliance Testing Analyst to support its consumer compliance monitoring and testing program within the payments business. This role will be responsible for executing compliance reviews, evaluating regulatory controls, identifying compliance risks, and supporting ongoing oversight of payment products and services.The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and business stakeholders to assess regulatory compliance, document findings, and help strengthen the organization's consumer protection framework. This position offers strong exposure to payments compliance, regulatory testing methodologies, and consumer banking regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance Monitoring & Testing
  • Assist in the execution of risk-based compliance monitoring and testing reviews covering payment products, services, and operational processes.
  • Perform transactional testing, control reviews, and risk assessments to evaluate compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review policies, procedures, controls, and supporting documentation to assess regulatory adherence and operational effectiveness.
  • Complete testing workpapers and maintain detailed documentation supporting review conclusions and findings.
  • Analyze testing results and identify potential compliance risks, control gaps, or regulatory concerns.
Regulatory Risk Assessment
  • Evaluate compliance with consumer protection regulations and guidance applicable to payment products and services.
  • Assess processes and controls related to customer-facing activities, third-party relationships, disclosures, privacy requirements, and operational practices.
  • Identify emerging risks and escalating issues that may impact regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Support ongoing monitoring of regulatory developments affecting payment programs.
Reporting & Issue Management
  • Document observations, exceptions, and potential compliance concerns in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist in preparing review reports, findings, and remediation recommendations.
  • Track identified issues through resolution and support issue management processes.
  • Communicate review progress, findings, and concerns to management and key stakeholders.
Collaboration & Program Support
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, and business teams throughout the review lifecycle.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives focused on strengthening compliance controls and governance.
  • Participate in special projects, regulatory readiness activities, and program enhancement initiatives.
  • Contribute to a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1 3 years of experience in Compliance Testing, Compliance Monitoring, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or a related function within financial services.
  • Understanding of consumer banking, payments, deposit products, or related financial services activities.
  • Experience conducting testing, reviewing controls, or evaluating compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting payments, fintech, banking-as-a-service (BaaS), money movement, digital banking, or consumer financial products.
  • Familiarity with consumer protection regulations, privacy requirements, electronic payments regulations, and third-party risk management concepts.
  • Professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, CIA, or similar credentials.
  • Experience preparing workpapers, documenting findings, and supporting issue remediation efforts.
  • Knowledge of compliance testing methodologies, audit practices, or risk assessment frameworks.
