Payroll Administrator
Location: Hybrid - 3002 S. Priest Drive, Tempe AZ 85282
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000

AMS Impact Group is seeking an entrepreneurial and mission-driven payroll administrator aligned with our company values that has successfully managed payroll for over 800 nationwide employees in the Workday payroll system.

What You’ll Do:
Updates payroll records by approving self-service changes within Workday
Pulls hours in Time and Attendance system, enters and validates necessary data per assigned pay groups for Bi-weekly processing
Processes stipends, other employee incentives, and other ad-hoc payment
Balances of bi-weekly payroll reconciliation worksheet and reports
Prepares various reports and queries for internal business partners
Monitors Payroll Helpdesk for assigned tasks and employees in pay groups assigned
Works with HR and Benefits Teams to resolve issues related to employee pay and deductions
Interprets company policy in processing payroll-related transaction
Processes Manual checks
Performs other duties as necessary
Position will report to the Workday Payroll and Finance Analyst

What You’ll Bring:
4-6 years of progressive payroll experience required
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred
Workday processing and reporting experience preferred
Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced, high-volume environment required
Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws in a multi-state employment environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
Intermediate Excel skills
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Able to handle confidential matters using sound judgement and discretion
Able to work effectively in a Hybrid work environment with minimal supervision
