Job Description
Our client, A well-established organization within the manufacturing industry is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join its team. This role supports payroll and timekeeping operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent internal customer service.Responsibilities:
- Process new hire documentation and maintain employee data updates within HRIS and payroll systems.*
- Monitor timekeeping system reports to identify missing punches, incorrect PTO usage, coding discrepancies, and pending supervisor approvals.*
- Communicate with supervisors and managers regarding timely approval of employee timecards.*
- Provide training to managers and supervisors on timekeeping systems; assist hourly employees with time clock usage as needed.*
- Process various earnings adjustments including on-call pay, bonuses, allowances, reimbursements, manual checks, and other supplemental payments.*
- Run weekly payroll time import processes, review hours summaries, and audit payroll data for accuracy.*
- Coordinate distribution of live checks across multiple departments and locations when applicable.*
- Generate and export general ledger payroll files and prepare supporting spreadsheets for accounting reconciliation.*
- Process wage verifications and other employment-related documentation as requested.*
- Serve as backup support for petty cash administration.*
- Assist employees with payroll-related updates including direct deposit changes, tax form updates, address changes, and pay statement inquiries.*
- Process stop payments, direct deposit reversals, and voided checks when necessary.
- Some college coursework and/or relevant professional certification preferred.*
- 13 years of experience in an administrative, customer service, payroll, or finance-related role.*
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll database systems required.*
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.*
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.*
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.*
- Experience with enterprise-level payroll and timekeeping systems (or equivalent platforms) required.
