Job Description
- Support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees and compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, garnishments, etc.
- Responds to tax notices and ensures expeditious resolution by ADP.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll & tax data to ensure accuracy & compliance.
- Ensure accurate quarter and yearend closings.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve pay-related issues timely.
- Support and respond to all payroll related audits, payroll reporting requests, etc.
- Works with ADP to create new pay and deduction codes, ensuring codes are mapped correctly and tested.
- Supports any process and/or system improvements.
- Works with managers to resolve timecard errors.
- Responds to wage audits, employment verification, and similar
- Responsible for annual affirmative action reports and EEO filings
- Manages all overpayments
- Responds to workers compensation annual audits or other inquiries related to workers compensation
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or relevant experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in payroll & tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now a must have
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong data analytical capabilities with HR metrics and problem-solving skills
- Ability to present data that tells a story
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer Service orientation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
