Job Description

Our client in Keene, NH, is looking for a Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join their team! Your qualifications for the Payroll and Accounting Specialist position are as follows:

Associate degree in accounting or finance and 1+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Non-profit experience preferred
Solid understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
Ability to maintain confidentiality

For the Payroll and Accounting Specialist your duties will include:

Process payroll
Prepare and post journal entries
Reconcile accounts
Assist with budgets and audit activities
Make cash deposits
Prepare reports
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure regulatory compliance
Other tasks as assigned
