Position Title: Full-time Accountants Payable and Payroll Specialist
Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist
DUTIES: Responsible for working alongside the CFO and actively participating in responsibilities and duties of the position; identifies opportunities for improved fiscal viability; processes payroll; performs accounts payable functions; reconciles accounts payable, inventory and bank accounts, and acts as a backup for the CFO.
- Performs accounts payable and payroll functions
- Prepares and processes payroll
- Analyzes expense accounts for accuracy and trends
- Identifies opportunities for improved fiscal viability.
- Identifies and tracks QAPI projects to identify areas for improvement
- Protects the confidentiality of private health care information of patients
- Complies with policies and procedures of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.
- Represents and maintains the philosophy of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in business or accounting, preferred
- Payroll experience, required
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience, health care preferred
- Ability to utilize various computer programs including Microsoft Office and accounting software
