Job Description

ProMed Staffing Resources is seeking experienced Payroll Assistants to support the payroll operations of a highly respected hospital in Manhattan, NY. This is an in‑person, day‑shift role (8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM) paying up to $27/hr.

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Duties include:

Processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
Entering and managing wage garnishments and ensuring timely payment
Reviewing and processing property payroll transfer reports
Verifying the accuracy of benefit deductions
Conducting payroll audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity
Assisting with payroll‑related inquiries and providing exceptional internal customer service
Supporting the leadership team with various accounting and administrative projects as needed
