Job Description

Job Title: Payroll Associate

Location: Moline, IL (Onsite)Duration: 12+ Months

Core Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll (time, earnings, deductions, withholdings) ensuring accuracy and compliance with union and HR policies
  • Analyze and resolve complex payroll issues independently
  • Respond to employee payroll queries and provide guidance/training
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships

Required Skills:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to learn multiple payroll/IT systems quickly
  • Experience with Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Process improvement mindset and adaptability to change

Preferred Skills:

  • Payroll and payroll tax knowledge
  • SAP experience
  • IBM/Host systems (TSO, RMDS) experience

Education:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting or equivalent experience

Shift:

  • Mon–Tue: 6:30 AM start (payroll run)
  • Wed–Fri: Flexible start time
