Job Description

Our client located just outside of Brattleboro, VT is looking for a Payroll & Accounting Assistant to join their growing team!Your qualifications for the Payroll & Accounting Assistant position are as follows:

Associate degree in Accounting and 3 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
Proficient with data entry, MS Excel, with the ability to learn various accounting systems
Good organizational and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

For the Payroll & Accounting Assistant position your duties will include:

Process weekly payroll
Record deposits and prepare journal entries
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Prepare tax documentation and W-2s
Manage insurance requirements
Prepare reports
Ensure regulatory compliance
Other tasks as assigned
