Job Description
Payroll & Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely approval of timecards and accurate payroll processing.
- Run, review, and audit payroll batches to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records including new hires, changes, and terminations.
- Process bonuses, commissions, expense reimbursements, and manual payroll adjustments.
- Administer wage garnishments and required documentation.
- Prepare payroll filings, W-2s, and compliance reporting.
- Support payroll audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot payroll and timekeeping system issues.
- Support onboarding and HRIS setup for new employees.
- Serve as a trusted payroll and HR resource for employees and leaders.
- Assist with benefits administration and leave-related payroll.
- Prepare payroll and HR reports to support leadership decision-making.
Minimum Required Qualifications & Education:
- Minimum of three years experience in an accounting or payroll role supporting a large hourly workforce.
- Proficiency with leading payroll and workforce management systems.
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices and state payroll tax regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated accuracy, organization, and strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Collaborative team player with a customer-service-oriented approach to supporting employees and leaders.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in UKG; UKG Pro and/or UKG Workforce Management (Dimensions)
- Completion of postsecondary coursework or continuing education in a related field is preferred but not required
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
