Payroll & Benefits Administrator

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Benefits & Payroll Administrator who takes pride in accuracy and consistency. This is a hands-on role responsible for processing payroll and administering benefits with precision and consistency.Payroll and benefits are two very tangible ways we show employees that we value them. This role ensures our people are paid accurately, supported during life events, and confident in their benefits coverage.

What You’ll Own

Payroll & Compliance

  • Process bi-weekly, off-cycle, and commission payroll accurately and on time

  • Reconcile payroll and benefits deductions

  • Maintain payroll data, deductions, and tax setup

  • Audit payroll prior to submission to ensure 100% accuracy

  • Administer all wage garnishments, levies, and court-ordered deductions

  • Ensure payroll and benefits processes remain compliant with applicable federal and state regulations

Benefits Administration & Regulatory Oversight

  • Process benefit enrollments and qualifying life events (QLEs)

  • Submit changes directly with carriers

  • Reconcile carrier invoices and resolve discrepancies

  • Oversee HSA/FSA/COBRA administration

  • Coordinate retirement plan contributions and compliance

  • Support annual open enrollment

  • Support compliance with ERISA, ACA, Section 125

Employee Experience & Vendor Relationships

  • Respond to employee questions regarding pay and benefits

  • Protect employee data confidentiality at all times

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience processing payroll

  • Experience managing garnishments and payroll compliance

  • Experience administering employee benefits and QLEs

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Organized without being rigid

Systems experience preferred

BambooHR, Health Equity, HSA/FSA/COBRA administration, Guideline, Vestwell, Cigna, Guardian
