Job Description
Seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our San Antonio, TX office. This is a contract position that will last 1 year. Max pay on this role is $18hr, M-F schedule.All candidates must be legally authorized work in the US and will not require current or future sponsorship.Key Responsibilities and duties:
- Data Entry and Management: Entering data, updating databases, managing, and filing records, documents, and reports.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and/or organize, confidential payroll information, electronic or paper personnel and payroll records.
- Communication: Answering, screening, and directing phone calls, as well as handling email inquiries and greeting visitors. Respond promptly to employee inquiries to acquire pay slips or tax forms (W-2), and deductions.
- Correspondence and Documents: Preparing, editing, and formatting documents, reports, and emails, as well as sorting and distributing mail.
- Logistics and Inventory: Ordering and maintaining office supplies, and operating office machinery like copiers, scanners and fax machines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency: Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
- Organization: Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Higher education accepted but not required.
- Due to the nature of payroll and payroll processing, records, email communications, etc., candidates must adhere to confidentiality and privacy of employee information.
