System One is seeking a Payroll Clerk I to support payroll and administrative operations for a large industrial facility in San Antonio, TX. This position is responsible for maintaining payroll records, assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries, and providing general administrative support.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Records Management
Enter and update payroll-related data within internal systems and databases
Maintain organized electronic and paper payroll records, documents, and reports
Payroll Record Maintenance
Maintain confidential personnel and payroll records
Ensure accurate filing and organization of payroll documentation
Communication & Employee Support
Answer, screen, and direct phone calls
Respond to employee inquiries related to pay slips, W-2 forms, and payroll deductions
Manage incoming emails and greet visitors as needed
Administrative Support
Prepare, edit, and format documents, reports, and correspondence
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Office Logistics
Order and maintain office supplies
Operate office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required (additional education accepted but not required)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
