Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support their in-house payroll operations. This role processes payroll for employees in multiple states, including field and corporate staff, and may also assist with benefits administration and workers’ compensation. The ideal candidate works well independently, maintains a high level of accuracy, and knows when to ask for guidance.
Responsibilities
- Process in-house payroll for multi-state employees (field and corporate)
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, timecards, and deductions
- Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee questions
- Support workers’ compensation reporting and documentation as needed
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams
- Prior payroll experience required (multi-state experience preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Comfortable recognizing issues and escalating questions appropriately
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
