Job Description
Role: Payroll ClerkLocation: Scottsdale Arizona 85254 Pay: $20-30/hrHours: Full-timePayroll Coordinator Were seeking a Payroll Processor/Specialist to support high?volume payroll operations during an upcoming organizational transition. This is a contract?to?hire opportunity with growth into a more robust payroll processing role upon conversion.Overview of Responsibilities
- Support daily payroll reporting and employee onboarding
- Validate new hires (up to 200/day during peak periods)
- Assist with payroll support related to an upcoming company move
- Take on increased responsibilities as ramp?up progresses
- Use UKG payroll system (highly preferred; strongly desired at start)
- Process multi?state payroll for approximately 1,5002,000 employees
- Handle Personnel Action Requests: new hires, salary changes, bonuses, transfers, terminations, retro pay, and benefits adjustments
- Process garnishments (child support, tax levies, etc.)
- Generate and distribute manual payroll checks accurately and timely
- Research and resolve payroll inquiries from employees and management
- 2+ years of high?volume payroll experience
- Strong payroll systems knowledge (UKG experience preferred / required)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Credit check required (no fraud; explanations welcomed)
