Payroll Client Service Specialist

PMI is a leading national payroll provider based in Roanoke, VA.  PMI provides our business partners with a comprehensive payroll solution that includes talent acquisition, electronic onboarding, payroll management, time and labor, human resource management and insurance services.  PMI is a relationship-oriented organization that takes great pride in the service that we offer our clients. 

PMI is currently hiring for a Client Service position within our organization.  The compensation for this position ranges from $20 to $26 per hour.  Ideally the candidate will have one year of payroll experience, but not required.  PMI provides extensive hands-on training to ensure employee success.

This position will be one of the first points of contact for all existing and new clients, therefore it is imperative that the candidate possess exceptional customer service skills. Additionally, the candidate should be able to complete the follow job duties:

 • Support clients via phone and e-mail to resolve software and payroll related questions. • Ability to enter data with attention to detail in a compliance driven industry.  • Update employee records, input, and reconcile payroll data within payroll system

• Prepare and gather documents for both employee and employer onboarding into payroll system. • Resolve customer concerns relating to payroll.  • Effectively participate and communicate within a team environment to ensure best in class client service to our customers.

• Excellent communication skills (Phone, E-mail, and In-Person) • Strong computer skills • Handle multiple tasks at any given time and prioritize them accordingly • Meet deadlines • Flexibility

The candidate must also meet the following requirements:

• Payroll experience preferred • Have experience using Microsoft Office products • Must pass a background check • Exceptional attention to detail
