Westview Healthcare Center is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused Payroll / Human Resources Professional to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing payroll accuracy with employee engagement while helping create a positive workplace culture.

In this vital role, you will oversee payroll processing, support human resources functions, assist with recruitment and onboarding, maintain employee records, coordinate training and compliance programs, and partner with facility leadership to ensure employees receive exceptional support throughout their employment.

What You'll Do

Human Resources

  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Assist with recruiting, candidate screening, interviewing, and scheduling.
  • Maintain employee personnel records and HR documentation.
  • Process employment changes including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Administer employee benefits including health, dental, life insurance, disability, PTO, leaves of absence, and employee assistance programs.
  • Coordinate required in-services, employee training, and compliance tracking.
  • Schedule employee health screenings and assist with facility safety initiatives.
  • Document fire drills, disaster drills, and required compliance activities.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner and leadership team on employee relations and complex HR matters.
  • Assist with workplace investigations, workers' compensation, incident documentation, and regulatory surveys.
  • Complete routine HR audits and corrective actions to maintain compliance.

Payroll

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and reconcile payroll before submission.
  • Process manual and final payroll checks.
  • Monitor vacation and sick leave accruals.
  • Process garnishments, deductions, benefit changes, and payroll adjustments.
  • Prepare payroll allocation reports and payroll-related financial reports.
  • Complete employment verification requests.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Promote excellent customer service to employees, residents, families, and visitors.
  • Support facility leadership with administrative projects.
  • Participate in state surveys and regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources or Payroll.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and payroll/HR systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Preferred

  • Two years of college coursework.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care.
  • Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
