• Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
• Oversee the preparation, balancing, and distribution of payroll in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage the payroll tax function, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries, providing excellent service to employees and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and provide superior service to employees.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other systems.
• Manage payroll system updates, upgrades, and maintenance, and ensure accurate data entry and processing.
• Prepare and present payroll reports and analytics to senior management.
• Lead and participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives.
• Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure company compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, preferably in the Energy industry.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and tax regulations.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
