Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Key components we are looking for:
- 2-3 years of payroll processing in a high-volume payroll operation.
- Responsible for handling and executing payroll processes to ensure accuracy and timely compensation of over 1,000 employees. This role involves collaboration with various departments, compliance with university policies and regulations, and maintenance of detailed payroll records
- Paycom experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Post-secondary diploma
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
- This role is very hands-on and requires daily and constant interaction with HR, peers, students and others in the faculty who frequently ask questions about payroll related issues.
- Responsible for maintaining payroll system.
- Preparing and executing pay orders through an electronic system.
- Managing and reviewing time and attendance.
- Reconciling timesheets.
- Calculating hourly rates, wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a payroll software.
- Ensuring proper time management is properly set up, monitoring/reporting leaves and shifts.
- Managing process improvement, modifications, updates, and enhancement in technology to ensure optimal performance in the delivery of payroll services.
- Providing payroll expertise (tax, best practices, legislations).
