Primary Skills: Payroll Processing-Expert, Accounting-Basic, Excel-Intermediate, Compliance-Knowledgeable, Data Entry-Advanced Contract Type: W2 Duration: 4 Months Location: Tarrytown, NY - 10591 (Onsite) Pay Range: $25 - $30 per hourJob Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team, responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, providing timely and accurate financial information. This role will involve coordination with HR and accounting departments to verify employment data, handling adjustments to salaries and wages, and preparing reports for management review. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, good with numbers, and able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure payroll operations are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports regarding payroll operations and activities.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including manual checks or adjustments.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficient in payroll software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Industry Experience:
- Prior experience in payroll processing or in a similar role is preferred
