Are you a payroll and accounting professional looking for a role where your work makes an impact? We're partnering with a well-established Sacramento nonprofit organization seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its collaborative finance team. Interested in more details? Core duties and responsibilities include:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities
- Maintain payroll records, employee deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax withholdings
- Review timesheets, leave balances, and payroll changes
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and payroll reports
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
- Assist with grant tracking and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and accounting standards
Required skills and qualifications:
- At least a year of payroll processing experience for over 50 employees
- Experience with ADP payroll Software
- Accounting experience including journal entries and reconciliations preferred
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, compliance, and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is from $60K to $75K, depending on experience.
