Payroll Specialist

If that describes you, we need to talk!What your future day will look like:

• Process weekly payroll, validate timesheets, manage payroll adjustments, and ensure timely payroll tax submissions.
• Oversee certified payroll reporting and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Reconcile employee benefit deductions, ACA reporting data, and 401(k) contributions while researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Support financial operations by reviewing employee reimbursements, credit card transactions, and general ledger activity.
• Serve as a resource to employees and departments by communicating payroll policies, procedures, and regulatory updates.
• Partner with the Controller on accounting activities, reporting, audits, and special projects while serving as a backup resource when needed.

Type: Direct HireTo be a champion in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent accounting and payroll experience
• 3+ years of payroll, accounting, or finance experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, benefits administration, and compliance requirements
• Experience with certified payroll, garnishments, 401(k) deductions, insurance deductions, and ACA reporting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Sage 100
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
