Job Details

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. This role works closely with operations and accounting teams to review employee time records, allocate labor costs appropriately, and support payroll-related reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll in environments with hourly employees, labor tracking, and project-based cost allocation.

ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll accurately and on timeReview and audit employee time records for completeness and accuracyEnter and maintain payroll data within the payroll systemVerify labor allocations, cost codes, and project tracking informationEnsure compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulationsInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepanciesMaintain payroll records and supporting documentationAssist with payroll reporting, audits, and special projectsPartner with accounting and operations teams on payroll-related mattersSupport process improvement initiatives within payroll functions

Qualifications5+ years of payroll processing experienceExperience managing payroll from start to finish in-houseStrong understanding of labor tracking, job costing, or cost code allocationExperience reviewing manual timecards or timekeeping recordsKnowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirementsStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systemsExcellent communication and organizational skills
