Job Details

Payroll Specialist (Union & Prevailing Wage)We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for both union and non‑union employees, with a strong focus on certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, and union administration.Payroll Processing

Process weekly and bi‑weekly payroll for union and non‑union employeesAccurately calculate wages, overtime, deductions, garnishments, and fringe benefitsMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage

Interpret and apply federal, state, and local prevailing wage regulationsPrepare and review certified payroll reports for government‑funded projectsEnsure proper worker classifications and accurate fringe benefit allocations

Union Payroll Administration

Process union dues, benefits, and trust fund contributionsMaintain union rate tables, benefit schedules, and contract requirementsPrepare union reports and ensure timely and accurate remittances

Payroll Tax Compliance

Prepare and file payroll tax reports including Forms 941, 940, and W‑2sEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulationsRespond to payroll tax notices and assist with issue resolution

Additional Responsibilities

Reconcile payroll‑related general ledger accountsSupport internal and external auditsAssist with year‑end payroll processes and reporting
