Location: Indianapolis, IN (Northside, 100% On-site)Job Type:  Full-time, PermanentJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, fast paced HRO Payroll Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis. In this Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) role, you will work fully on-site at our local office to manage end-to-end, high volume multi-client and multi-state payroll operations using iSolved software. The ideal candidate thrives under tight deadlines, juggles competing client priorities with ease, and possesses a deep understanding of varying state and local tax compliance laws.Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Client Management:  Own the full-cycle payroll execution for a diverse portfolio of outsourced client companies, serving as their dedicated payroll expert.System Management: Utilize the iSolved platform to accurately input, track, and process payroll, time and attendance, and benefits deductions.Multi-State Tax Compliance: Navigate, calculate, and audit complex federal, state, and local tax withholdings across multiple states.Client Advisory:  Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving payroll discrepancies, explaining wage-and-hour compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.Qualifications & SkillsHRO/Service Bureau Experience: 3-5 years of experience processing payroll specifically with  a Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO), ASO, or payroll service bureau environment handling multiple distinct clients.Software Requirement: Hands-on experience utilizing iSolved is highly preferred. Experience with other major multi-client systems (such as Prism HR, ADP, Kronos) is also highly valued. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) are required.Multi-State Expertise: Proven track record managing payroll across multiple states simultaneously, with a strong grasp of differing state labor laws and overtime rules. Work Arrangement:  Ability to work full-time on-site in our Indianapolis office.Certifications: FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a major plus.Core Competencies: Exceptional multitasking ability, extreme attention to detail, and a consultative client-first mindset.Benefits & PerksCompetitive base salary.Comprehensive health, dental, vision and life insurance.Paid Time off including designated Vacation and Sick Time.Paid Holidays.401(k) plan with generous company match.Stable, collaborative on-site team environment.Clear pathways for professional growth and continuing education certification support.
