Maintain accurate, timely payroll operations, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Description
- Process semi-monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Process additional bonus and deferred compensation payrolls as needed
- Validate timekeeping data, employee data, bonuses, and adjustments
- Audit and reconcile file feeds and the flow of data
- Coordinate with HR on onboarding, terminations, and compensation changes
- Administer payroll taxes, deductions, and garnishments
- Thorough review and audit of HSA and 401k deductions and employer match
- Prepare payroll reconciliation ensuring accuracy of all gross wages
- Research, analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure payroll compliance
- Manage post payroll processes such as reporting, manual journal entries, and reconciliations
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Process employee verifications for current and former employees
Profile
- 5+ years of experience with multi-state payroll processing in a corporate or financial‑services environment
- Experienced working in a small department and owning end to end payroll.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and tax regulations
- Proficiency ADP WFN payroll system, ADPR, and Excel
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to handle client facing questions, when concerning payroll
