Job Description
Global merchandising/advertising company seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a fully remote part-time position and is an ideal fit for anyone highly detail-oriented with experience processing multi-state payroll.
Responsibilities:-Payroll Processing: Verify employee timesheets, calculate wages, overtime, and bonuses, and process payroll via direct deposit or check on established bi-weekly schedule.-Compliance & Taxes: Process tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and submit required local, state, and federal tax filings across multiple states.-Data Management: Input and update payroll data including benefits deductions, exemptions, and direct deposit preferences.-Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and tax forms.-Reporting: Reconcile payroll accounts, generate reports for management, and assist with internal or external audits.-Insurance/Deductions: Handling workers compensation insurance, including annual audit. Coordinating health plan and IRA deductions from employee payrolls.
