General Information/Job Summary
The position is to provide support to the Payroll Department
Responsibilities/Competencies
- Exporting and importing employee time
- Balancing reported time against imports
- Processing payroll additions and wage deductions
- Processing child support payments to multi-states
- Processing payroll garnishments
- General payroll duties
- Help maintain and improve payroll procedures, checklists, and simple internal controls to ensure accuracy, continuity, and compliance
- Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy and applicable laws
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested payroll documentation
Requirements
- Excellent data entry skills
- Accounts Payable experience 1 or more years
- Detail oriented, accurate
- Work as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Punctuality and attendance is critical
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Maintain expected dress code requirements
The satisfactory completion of a credit check is required for this position.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
- Ability to carry up to 35 pounds.
