Your Role in Synergy's Success
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll for our employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of payroll processing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key to success in this role is accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.How You Will Contribute
Lead the biweekly payroll process which includes reaching out to Team Leaders and Managers to resolve timecard errors and omissions.
Review payroll preview reports to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the payroll being processed.
Release payroll to ADP by the biweekly cutoff time and ensure payroll is delivered on time.
Upload the biweekly payroll into the general ledger system.
Develop reports from ADP to support ongoing initiatives including budgeting, reporting and analysis.
Work to implement process improvements where necessary.
Provide assistance as needed to the H.R. Department and the other Payroll team members regarding benefits administration, government compliance reporting and filings, and special projects.
Provide backup for other payroll team members.
Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED Required
A minimum 1-2 years of Payroll processing experience required
Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred
Experience with multi-state payroll processing is preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with highly confidential information with discretion
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
Must display solid financial accuracy, ownership of the payroll process, solid work ethic and team focus
Starting Range : $54,000 - 72,500/yr
The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
