Compile and record employee time and payroll data. Accurately issue pay to hourly and non-hourly employees by calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established payroll practices and guidelines through Payroll Processing System.

  • Timely processing of payrolls for hourly and non-hourly employees.
  • Ensure accuracy of each payroll by reviewing various payroll reports, reconcile errors and maintain payroll records.
  • Perform actions necessary to track and determine regular and overtime pay, and factors commission-based income or bonuses into an employee's salary.
  • Review and process payroll adjustments, including vacation, sick, and other time off.
  • Ensure child support and garnishment orders have been answered timely and entered accurately into the payroll system.
  • Process employee deductions including W4 changes; direct deposit; and 401(k) loans.
  • Field and respond to payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies as required.
  • Calculate and prepare manual payroll checks.
  • Ensure that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines, as well as internal policies.
  • Provide employee wage verification to outside requestors.
  • Prepare monthly domestic Report.
  • Prepare monthly Payroll Account Reconciliations.
  • Generate reports using Paychex.
  • Provide various reports for Human Resources and Accounting departments.
  • Assist with 401(K) annual audits.
  • Manage employee expenses reimbursement.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of rules and laws which govern the payroll administration practices.

    Requirements

    Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related Payroll experience.
  • Experience with UKG Pro payroll processing preferred

    Education:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources; A Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Payroll System.
  • Proficient in time keeping system.
  • Education, training and/or experience should include knowledge of IRS guidelines for payroll processing, wage garnishment law, Fair Labor Standards Act, confidentiality procedures, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization is also required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments (HR, Finance, IT)
  • Process improvement mindset and systems orientation

    The estimated pay range for this role is $59,000 - $ 65,000 annually
